Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Metamorphic units of Bohemian Moldanubicum. Compact biotitic paragneiss with lenses of pegmatite. Very distinct isoclinal folding of paragneiss. Plate-like disintegration of this rock. Locally overturned folds can be seen.
Regional geologic unit: Bohemian Massif - crystalline complex and pre-Variscian Palaeozoic - Moldanubicum - Metamorphic units in Moldanubicum
